OTR Recording and Media Center Hawaii has a compact yet powerful set of recording stations. Our main control room is equipped with Pro Tools 10 HD as our primary force but we also have two other stations that run Cuebase and Nuendo.
For many musicians, recording engineers, and producers alike—at Abbey Road Studios and Skywalker Sound all the way here at OTR Media Center Hawaii, Pro Tools is the benchmark of the highest standards in recording and we are proud to be bringing the same pro standards to Hawaii!
Along with our Pro Tools 10 HD system we are the only recording studio in Hawaii that uses the Digidesign C|24 Console.
The Digidesign C24 is one of the ultimate control surfaces out there. Simply put, it has pretty much everything you can think of and then some. Starting off with features, this thing has 24 bankable strips, touch-sensitive motorized faders, 16 high quality mic/line/DI preamps, 8×2 stereo line submixer, 5.1 surround analog monitor section, talkback mic inputs, dedicated mute, solo, record, select, EQ, dynamics, send and insert switches, along with illumination for each of them. There are probably more features that I’m forgetting, but those are the main ones.
OTR Media also has one of the most powerful audio processing and fx bundles available – The Mercury Bundle by WAVES. From enhancing audio files to removing unwanted “stuffs”, the Mercury Bundle in the right hands can turn what would be an otherwise well produced track into a huge experience both in sound and quality. The Mercury Bundle includes over 1000 different audio processors from compressors to post clean-up tools for mastering.
